About the Band
Glen Caruba / PERCUSSION
Glen is one of the most in-demand percussionists in the Nashville studio scene having recorded with artists such as Sara Evans, Toby Keith, and The Mavericks. He has three percussion instructional books and videos distributed by Hal Leonard: Afro Cuban Drumming, Modern Percussion Grooves, and The Contemporary Percussionist (DVD).
Glen’s on stage performance is something to be seen as well as heard. His solid feel and driving energy in live situations have earned him opportunities working with such great artists as Jimmy Buffett, Max Carl, Beth Nielsen Chapman, Pat Coil, Robin English, Sara Evans, Steve Forbert, Glenn Frey, Vern Gosdin, Iko-Iko, Jack Jezero, Denny Jiosa, John Jorgensen, Toby Keith, Hal Ketchum, Tom Kimmel, Barry Manilow, The Mavericks, Nashville Chamber Orchestra, K.T. Oslin, Kenny Rodgers, Lionel Richie, Leon Russell, SheDaisy, Dan Seals, Chester Thompson, Pam Tillis, Rick Trevino, Kirk Whalum, Lari White, Maurice Williams, Trisha Yearwood amongst many others. In addition, he has performed with Jimmy Buffett in his musical, Don’t Stop the Carnival.
Kenny Zarider / KEYBOARDS
Kenny is a native of Cincinnati Ohio then Miami Florida and currently calls Nashville home. He is an active member of Nashville’s live music and session scene. A few of artists Kenny has performed or recorded with are Denny Jiosa, Jeff Coffin, Victor Wooten, Carlos ‘Patato’ Valdez, Michael Stuart, Nestor Torres, Walfredo Reyes, Ira Sullivan, José ‘Chepito’ Areas, Atlanta Rhythm Section, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Suzi Bogus, Michael Stuart, Billy Dean, Sammy Kershaw, Paul Brandt and KC and the Sunshine Band.Kenny has been featured playing and writing for multiple movie sound tracks including movies for Faye Dunaway and James Coburn. Kenny has also written and recorded movie sound tracks with Richie Puente featuring many of Latin’s great percussionists.
Raymond Massey / DRUMS
Originally from the East Coast Tidewater Va. Area, in 1991 Raymond moved to Nashville TN. And soon landed the gig with RCA recording artist Vern Gosdin and toured the USA. Soon after Raymond began to record and tour with Tanya Tucker of legendary country music fame for several more years. Raymond has also stayed very active in the Nashville Recording scene as well as playing out live as much as possible. He also played on a track featuring heavy metal singer Henry Rollins for a Waylon Jennings Tribute.
He continues to be active in the Nashville scene performing with many artists including Grammy nominated Denny Jiosa. Raymond is currently working on a recording project of his own, as well as having a dream gig at Pearl Drums as Marketing Events Manager.
Keith Kenyon / BASS
Hailing from upstate NY, Keith has been honing his electric bass skills for 30 years. He started playing in bands when he was 13 performing or recording just about every style including pop, gospel, reggae, funk, jazz, country, blues, alternative. Some of the artists Keith has recorded or performed with include: Patti Labelle, Mindy McCready, Scott Holt, Little Feat, Ashanti, Phil Keaggy and Denny Jiosa.
Roberto Bernardinello / BASS
Roberto began to play bass in 1991, at 23 y.o. under the guide of Piero Orsini (Gipsy Kings – Lisa Hunt). In 1992, he began his first experiences, performing in various fusion and funk band projects. In 1996, Roberto joined “Diatriba,” a flamenco-jazz band lead by virtuoso guitarist Marco Porcu. In the same year, this quartet played at Sant Anna Arresi Jazz Festival, opening for Noa. With the same band, he played the following three years on TV channel (Mediaset-Odeon TV), as well as, major clubs in all of Italy. In 2003, he moved to London and resumed collaboration with Marco Porcu, establishing the “MP Project.” This group has performed in clubs such as “J2K” and “Circle in the Round” in London, as well as, various venues in Kansas and California. Since 2005 Roberto is based in Wichita, Kansas. Recent collaborations include artists: Harry James Big Band, Danny Gottlieb, Denny Jiosa, Kenny Zarider, Beth Gottlieb, Adam Larson, The Fabulous Flippers, Gary Foster, Earl Dumler, Christian Howes, Jay Daversa, Jerry Hahn, Philippe Bertaud, Joseph Vincelli, Tom Fowler, Bill Caldwell, Roger Lewis, Scott Strecker & Richard Johnson. Roberto holds a Bass/Guitar teaching position at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas. “As guest soloist and clinician at Butler Community College in April 2008, one of the high points of my visit was getting to know and to perform with the extraordinary bass player and teacher, Roberto Bernardinello.
